Oh yes, The sippy cup.
When my daughter turned one, I decided it was time to transition her into a sippy cup and pitch the bottle.
The Basic Leak-Proof
Her first sippy cup was probably the cheapest, you know the few dollar ones that are “leak proof”.
These ones have bite proof, soft spouts on them.
My first favorite is the Nuby.
The next level The handled Munchkin
As time progressed the more creative she got with spilling the sippy, by sucking just enough juice to get it to pour out of the sippy cup. Yuck, so onward to the next type.
I decided to try the next type.
These ones also said “leak proof”. We were still in the early stages so I got one within her age group.
She was also starting to chew through everything. yay.
These ones also are “bite-proof”
My second favorite is the two-handled munchkin sippy.
Pretty budget-friendly option at less than $10 for two
Introducing, the miracle cup
After a while, she still got even more creative and figured out how to spill these. Also, we wanted to start prepping her for using regular cups.
At the time, I was working in retail and thought the idea was nifty. It was also time for her to start learning how to use a regular sippy anyway.
These cups costed slightly more than your typical sippy cup, but it helped her learn the way a cup works without the spill.
Even these are still pretty affordable at just over $10 for two.
We currently use the sassy spill-proof cups, I have to say they don’t leak unless she throws them down from more than a few feet high. The only thing that really ends up happening is it splashes some out upon impact.
Beyond that, I highly recommend these cups for your toddler.
Honestly, any of these cups are great. The only one I wouldn’t use at this point is probably the first one, those are a great starter cup though.
What is your favorite sippy cup for your toddler? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
